On a new building, the roofing contractor is part of a larger construction sequence. The deck has to be ready. Curbs and penetrations have to be coordinated. Drainage and roof-edge details have to match the design. Materials must arrive when the project can actually receive them.

Is new roof installation the same as roof replacement?
No. New construction installation begins on a new or newly prepared building assembly. Replacement involves removing and rebuilding an existing roofing system. The sequencing, unknown conditions and project coordination are different.
When should the roofing contractor be involved in a new construction project?
Early enough to review roof-system requirements, deck readiness, penetrations, drainage, material lead times and scheduling before those items become field conflicts.
Does Ameristar install roofing on commercial and multi-family new construction?
Ameristar’s experience includes residential, commercial and multi-family roofing across pitched and low-slope applications.
Can the roof be installed before all rooftop penetrations are complete?
That depends on the project. Penetrations and curbs should be coordinated to avoid cutting into or reworking finished roofing whenever possible. The project team should sequence those trades deliberately.
